Introduction

I recently posted a question on r/laravel that asked for feedback on how to improve my skills/knowledge so that I would be competent enough to work for a company such as Spatie or even become part of the Laravel core team.

This question seemed to have interested a lot of people judging by the activity on the post, comments and interest in Twitter when it was picked up by a Laravel account.

Even though I’ve worked with Laravel for over 8 years I often feel like I’m not progressing and end up using the same techniques/methodologies on each project.

My Reddit post received no shortage of responses all varying from mental health to books and online courses to take.

I've decided to set up this personal blog as a journal for myself and anyone that may stumble upon it.

My goal is to get myself to the level I want to be and help others along the way who may be looking for the same answers as myself.

I'll be posting various articles from musings, tutorials and project progress.
